First of all, thank you very much to those who choose to follow this account/site, as well as anyone who’s decided to read this thus far. Hopefully, it brings good insight and satire to your football fandom and life. I’ve spent a 2 decades+ evaluating and predicting the NFL’s thoughtful placement of yellow flags and hard-hitting plays. I hope you enjoy it. Call me delusional if you’d like.

I’ll pledge to abstain from bias to my Cleveland Browns. Additionally, I’ll provide real analysis to the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Baltimore Ravens, the Cincinnati Bengals, and all others.

The thesis is to provide my thoughtful insight to those following the NFL, or as I like to call it, the ‘Opium of the People’. You can close it out at any point – zero offense taken. Zero desire to be funny, only looking to deliver the cold hard truth.

Dedicated to all American troops over the past 250+ years.

Thoughtfully,

JS

The AFC North is known to be a gauntlet. A division rooted in cold weather and hard feelings. It’s true America, hard hat Mon-Fri, NFL Team on Sunday. Folks in Pittsburgh and Cleveland can’t venture off to the beach, see the latest show on Broadway, or sink into a speedboat on Lake Como. They could in some cases, but they wouldn’t. Not in their DNA. Instead, the two blue-collar towns have their Sundays welcoming all walks of life revolving around Sunday football – HVAC techs, plumbers, lawyers, investment bankers etc. It makes the division great – America’s heartland.

Baltimore and Cincinnati aren’t much different. Quoth the Raven, they love their team in Baltimore. They have their star in Lamar Jackson, but unproven in the playoffs. They, alongside their racaus band, rally around their team every Sunday expecting greatness. A lightning fast QB, who can’t get it done in the playoffs. Who knows if it’ll ever happen. Serious respect to their fanbase.

The Bengals – Rock star lookin’ Joe Burrow – have questions at the QB position. Their lack of a ‘will-do’ mentality lack fight and protection to enable the man to win anything meaningful result, albeit an SB appearance while playing the perfect game without any TOs.

That’s the AFC North in JS’ opinion

More to come.
